The University of Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish football team has revealed their 2023 schedule, which includes prime time contests against Ohio State and Southern California as NBC Sports airs Fighting Irish football for an unprecedented 33rd consecutive season.
The 2023 season will begin with the Aer Lingus College Football Classic vs Navy at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. The game will start at 2:30 p.m. ET (7:30 p.m. local time in Dublin) on NBC and Peacock.
The home schedule for ’23 will begin with a historic game between Notre Dame and Tennessee State at 3:30 p.m. ET. NBC and Peacock will broadcast it nationwide. In this game, the Irish will face off against a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) for the first time.
A two-game home stand against Central Michigan will start on Saturday, September 16, at 2:30 p.m. ET, exclusively on Peacock. On Saturday, September 23, at 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC and Peacock), the highly anticipated series finale against Ohio State will begin.
The second prime time game of the home season for Southern California will take place at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
On October 28 against Pittsburgh and on November 18 against Wake Forest, the final two home games on NBC and Peacock will both kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
In addition to pre- and post-game coverage, all Notre Dame football games that are televised live on NBC in 2023 will also be simulcast on Peacock. The Irish will only broadcast one game on Peacock this year, which will be against Central Michigan on September 16 for the third straight time. Online sportsbooks have Notre Dame currently listed at 30-1 odds to win the national championship.
